Members can request a password from any login screen. When a member requests a password, their password is reset and a new unique random password is emailed to them that they can use to log in to their account.
This email can be customized to include your own branding and verbiage.
Step by Step Instructions
- Go to MembershipWorks > Customization > Emails.
- Under Template on the right, select Password Request from the drop down.
- Change the text in the Email Subject field to change what the member will see as the email subject line.
- Customize the text in the Email message box as needed. Do NOT remove the [password] tag from this email as this will be replaced by their new password in the email they receive. If you remove this tag, your members will not receive a new password.
- Click Save Template on the left when complete.
