Integrate Our Features into Your WordPress Website
You can easily integrate our features into your WordPress website by installing our plugin and then adding our feature shortcodes in your website pages.
Install the MembershipWorks Plugin
- Go to WordPress > Plugins > Add Plugin.
- Enter MembershipWorks in the Search bar at the top of the page.
- In the search results, locate the plugin titled MembershipWorks – Membership, Events & Directory and click Install Now.
- Click Activate.
- Once the plugin is installed and activated, you will see MembershipWorks in your WordPress menu.
- Click on MembershipWorks in the WordPress menu and log in using your MembershipWorks admin credentials.
Add WordPress Shortcodes to Your Website Pages
After installing our plugin, you are ready to start adding MembershipWorks features to your website using shortcodes. Create a page on your website for each feature you need, and then place the corresponding shortcode on that page.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1 - Obtain the Shortcode
Copy the shortcode from the WordPress Shortcodes generator for the feature you would like to add to your website.
You can only use one of our shortcodes on each page.
For example, you cannot place the shortcodes for the member sign-up form and the event calendar on the same page.
Shortcodes for forms/carts/donations, boards, and (single/specific) event registration can be obtained from the respective form, board or event dashboard.
Step 2 - Create or Edit Page
Go to WordPress > Pages and click + Add Page to add a new page, or click on an existing page where you would like to add the shortcode.
Paste the shortcode that you copied in Step 1 into the page.
- If you are using the Gutenberg block editor in WordPress, you should add a Text block and paste the shortcode into this block.
- If you are using a different editor, we recommend trying to paste the shortcode in the editor's Text module.
Save and Publish the page.
